How Trex writes brand announcements and guides, and what money can never buy.
Last updated 3 Oct 2026
Prices and rankings are never paid for
Trex doesn't sell fuel, and no brand pays to rank higher or to be called “Verified”. Prices come from public sources (Bangchak, PTT OR, EPPO) and are shown the same way for every brand.
How brand announcements are made
A brand announcement is a short summary, in our own words, of something a brand announced publicly: a new or discontinued fuel, a points-card change, a price policy, a rebrand. Each one names the brand and the date of its announcement and links to the original. We don't copy press releases or photos, and brands don't pay to be covered. A person at Trex checks and publishes every item. Announcements leave the News list 60 days after the brand's announcement; their links keep working.
Trex guides
Guides are written by Trex to explain fuel prices, cards and changes. If a guide is sponsored or has partner links, it says so above the title, at the end, and in link previews when it's shared. Sponsored content never changes prices, rankings or the “Verified” label.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so: a dated correction note at the top of the item. Every item shows when it was last updated.
Correction and takedown requests
If you think an item is wrong, or uses your content without permission, email the link and what's wrong to [email protected]. We act on every request within 72 hours, by correcting, updating or taking the item down, and we keep a record of takedowns.
